To commemorate the International Mountain Day, I am sharing this photo of Nanga Parbat that I shot earlier this year. The world’s 9th highest mountain is an impressive sight in itself. For a few minutes around sunset, it attains a pink glow that turns it into a sculpture of sheer beauty.
Rama Lake (Sango Sar) is a glacial water body on the eastern edge of the Nanga Parbat massif in the Astore District. It is about 1.7km (1.07miles) in circumference and is reachable by a hiking trail from Rama. Pictured here is a small pond on the main outlet of the lake.
