Rama is a forested hill resort in Gilgit Baltistan’s Astore District. Rama Lake is a couple of hours trek from here. This pond was found in the surrounding forest, on the way back from the lake. Covered in pine needles, it made for quite a soothing sight.
A Blue-and-yellow macaw smiles wickedly at the biggest bird park in Pakistan. Lakeview Bird Park is located next to Rawal Lake on the outskirts of Islamabad and is home to numerous species of birds.
Islamabad’s Lakeview Park is home to an aviary, the biggest in Pakistan, that contains a wide variety of birds. One of these is the Eurasian collared dove, pictured here: These beautiful birds make up just a fraction of the species within the bird park.
The Lal Suhanra National Park is located near the city of Bahawalpur and offers a chance to see some amazing wildlife, up close. The park is home to a pair of Indian rhinoceros (greater one-horned rhinoceros) that were given by Nepal in 1983. The couple has yet to produce an offspring. The Indian rhinoceros differs…
