The Badshahi Masjid, or King’s Mosque, is a small mosque located at the western edge of the 16th century Rohtas Fort. Next to the mosque is the Kabuli gate which overlooks the Kahan River.

The Badshahi Mosque in Lahore was built by the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb and remained the world’s largest mosque until the 1980s. It still holds the record for the world’s largest mosque courtyard. (This picture of one of it’s inner minarets taken on December 31st, 2010)
